Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines permitted and prohibited uses of the Inbox Insignia platform. It supplements our Terms of Service. Violation may result in suspension or termination.
2. Permitted Use
You may:
- Monitor domains you own or are explicitly authorized to manage
- Use the API within your plan's documented rate limits
- Export your own workspace data in supported formats
- Invite team members to collaborate within your workspaces
- Configure alerts and integrations for your monitored domains
- Use compliance reports for internal or client-facing purposes
3. Prohibited Conduct
You must NOT:
- Add or monitor domains without ownership or written authorization from the domain owner
- Attempt to access, view, or modify other users' or workspaces' data
- Circumvent or attempt to bypass security measures, Row Level Security policies, or rate limits
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to extract data beyond the documented API
- Use the service to facilitate illegal activities including but not limited to phishing, spam, or domain hijacking
- Send spam, malware, or abusive content through any platform integrations (email alerts, webhooks)
- Resell, sublicense, or provide access to the service to third parties without written authorization
- Interfere with or disrupt the service, servers, or networks connected to the service
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
- Use the service to generate, store, or transmit content that is unlawful, harmful, or objectionable
- Introduce viruses, trojans, worms, or other malicious code
4. Resource Limits
Usage is subject to plan-tier limits:
- Domain limits: Starter (3), Growth (25), Agency (100), with higher tiers by contract
- API rate limits vary by plan (see API documentation)
- Scan frequency: automated weekly scans on Starter, daily scans on Growth and above, plus on-demand scans within plan limits
- Export requests subject to reasonable use
- Exceeding limits may result in temporary throttling
5. Enforcement
We take a graduated approach:
- First violation (minor): written warning via email with required corrective action
- Repeated or serious violations: temporary suspension of account access
- Severe or ongoing violations: permanent termination of account
- We reserve the right to immediately suspend accounts for violations that pose security risks or legal liability
- Appeal process: email abuse@inboxinsignia.com within 14 days of enforcement action
6. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to abuse@inboxinsignia.com. Include relevant details and evidence. We investigate all reports and maintain confidentiality.
